cowl in double moss stitch

  • the yarn, dyed

This is KnitPicks Gloss fingering-weight yarn. It has been mordanted with alum and dyed with echinacea flowers and leaves. I was aiming for green but got a versatile-looking tan. I’m going to make it into a cowl.

  • ribbing done

Six rows of 2x2 ribbing are done and now it is time to begin the long double-moss-stitch section.

  • Progressing

I’m going to make this one quite long, so that it wraps around three times.

  • ready for buttonhole band

The scarf is about 58 inches long now and it looks ready for the buttonhole band.

  • buttonhole band done

Six holes will require six buttons.
